The Princeton Land Trust recently acquired the Appell property, located off Calamint Hill Road North. This is a 34 acre upland lot adjacent to both Boylston Park and Calamint Hill Conservation Area. This property was given in memory of Laura (Reynolds) Appell. It is designated to be left in a natural state, allowing for trails but no other development.

The property caps Calamint Hill. It is primarily a deciduous forest with a small area of wetland in the lower south east corner. The property contains a boulder field on the south west side, and includes several large boulders closer to the road.

PLT plans to created a loop trail on this property, connecting to trails in both the CHCA and Boylston Park lots (both of which are owned by the town of Princeton).
